A craft activity that actually teaches something. And the kids never know it.

The Sweet Sunday STEAM Squishy Kit turns making a taba squishy toy into a hands-on lesson in science, measurement, engineering and creative arts. Kids mix two-part food-grade silicone, measure ratios, observe chemical reactions and design their own squishy toys from scratch.

Built for real classrooms. Works just as well at birthday parties.

What makes it a genuine STEAM activity:

  • Science - observing how two liquids combine and cure into a solid
  • Technology - following precise sequential instructions
  • Engineering - measuring ratios and solving mold release problems
  • Arts - mixing custom colours and decorating with flocking powder
  • Mathematics - measuring volume, ratios and estimating quantities

Each kit includes:

  • Squishy Glue A + B (food-grade silicone, 200ml each)
  • Paw print and cute bear molds
  • Paint pigments (primary colours, black, white, bonus green)
  • Mixing cups, stir sticks and zip bags
  • Flocking powder (3 bags)

Digital downloads included:

  • Teacher guides and student handouts (differentiated for all skill levels)
  • Elementary curriculum objectives and success criteria

FAQs

What are the instructions for making a taba squishy kit?

Start by measuring the correct ratio of food-grade silicone, 1:1. Mix thoroughly, add paint pigment until the colour is uniform, then pour into your vaseline coated molds. Let set for 2-4 hours at room temperature. Do not move or disturb. Once fully set, remove from molds and wash your squishy with dish soap and water. Then start squishing. Why isn't my taba squishy curing?

The most common cause is incorrect silicone ratio. Too little of one glue type and it won't cure, too much and it cures too fast. Ensure you're mixing at a 1:1 ratio.

Why isn't my taba squishy sticky?

We recommend a 1:1 ratio of squishy glue A and B, but if you want your taba squishy to be more sticky, mix a 1:1.5 ratio of squishy glue A:B. More glue B will make your taba sticky and more glue A will make it less sticky more bouncy/firm. Make sure you are using real silicone (like the one found in our taba squishy kits). Knock off products come with diluted glue mixtures and won't make proper taba squishy toys.

What's included in the taba squishy making kit?

Each kit includes food-grade silicone, molds, mixing containers, stir sticks, charms, pom-poms, keychains, pvc zip bags, and video instructions. Everything you need to make 4 regular sized taba squishy toys! *Steam Learning Kit does not come with charms/pompoms or keychains.

Are taba squishy kits safe?

Ours are. All of our squishy glue is made with food-grade silicone which is non-toxic and food grade rated, perfect for kids.

Is this a good stem project for kids at home?

This is the perfect STEM/STEAM learning kit. Kids observe science (how two liquids combine and cure into a solid), practice technology (following sequential instructions), apply engineering (measuring ratios, solving mold release), create art (mixing custom colours with flocking powder), and use math (measuring volume and ratios). It's a hands-on lesson disguised as a fun craft. We also have a FREE online Discovery lab that walks them through online learning.

Is the STEAM learning kit a good stem class ideas for kids?

Yes. Designed specifically for K-8 classrooms. Includes differentiated teacher guides and student handouts for all skill levels. Each kit supports two students sharing, making it cost-effective for group settings. Perfect for STEAM days, homeschool co-ops, and after-school programs.
